The Grand Concourse is one of the longest, widest and terrifying streets in the Bronx. The street’s dangerous conditions encourage speeding, and unsafe interactions between the different modes of transportation, putting thousands of daily Bronxites at risk. Since July 2012, over 1,069 people were injured and 13 were killed due to the dangerous conditions along the Concourse.
Join Transportation Alternatives and our network of 100,000 New Yorkers committed to safe and complete streets in New York City. Speak up for life-saving improvements to the entire Concourse with traffic calming measures, protected bike lanes, curb extensions, and dedicated bus lanes.
