Faster Buses in Ridgewood! Build a Bus Lane on Fresh Pond Rd

Bus riders in Queens are suffering. We have some of the longest commute times in the city and many of the slowest bus lines in the city crawl through our streets.

For example, the Q58 received a D from the Bus Turn Around Campaign. It carries close to 30,000 transit riders each day but is slow, averaging speeds less than 7 mph and is only on-time, less than half the time.

Every day, express and standard buses are caught up on Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood behind double parked cars. Dozens of transit riders on a packed bus shouldn't have to wait behind cars with only a single passenger.

Families, seniors, students and more transit riders deserve dedicated lanes so they can get where they need to go in a respectable time.

Put bus lanes on Fresh Pond Road and speed up commutes for thousands of riders!
