Grand Street PeopleWay Now

Grand Street, a major connector in North Brooklyn, continues to be one of the area's most dangerous streets. In 2016, a cyclist was killed by a hit-and-run driver while traveling through the corridor. More needs to be done to protect cyclists and pedestrians on the street.

We need to move quickly because the L Train shutdown is imminent. This will create a huge challenge for the 200,000 riders using the L to travel between Brooklyn and Manhattan each day. It will also have a negative impact on area businesses who rely on the foot traffic generated by L Train service.

Sign the petition to let elected officials know that you demand a safer and more efficient Grand Street. By prioritizing bus, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic on the street we can move twice as many people as currently use the corridor, create a safer streetscape, and bring much needed foot traffic to local businesses.
