The 2017 election is approaching. Do you know where the candidates stand on transportation?
New Yorkers need fair and reliable ways to get around New York City, and we need elected officials who will lead the way.
Tell the candidates: I am a bike rider. I am a straphanger. I am a pedestrian. And I vote!
Sign the pledge to support the Transportation Equity Agenda for New York City.
As a New Yorker, and a voter, it's clear to me that New York City needs candidates who are ready to stand up for transportation equity.
I support the Transportation Equity Agenda for New York City, along with the New York League of Conservation Voters, NYPIRG Straphangers Campaign, Pratt Center for Community Development, Regional Plan Association, Riders Alliance, StreetsPAC, Tri-State Transportation Campaign, and Transportation Alternatives. And as a candidate for office, you should too!
The Transportation Equity Agenda is a set of policies that will make streets safer and increase transportation choices for New York City. As the 2017 election approaches, I ask all candidates to support:
1. Funding Public Transportation
2. Better Bus Service
3. Affordable Access to Public Transportation
4. Doubling Bicycling by 2020
5. Achieving Vision Zero by 2024
6. Equitable Allocation of Street Space
7. Protection for L Train Riders
Thank you for standing up for an equitable transportation future for New York City.
