Support East Tremont Ave

East Tremont Ave is one of the most dangerous corridors in the Bronx, with 59 pedestrian injuries and 10 cyclist injuries in the 6 block stretch between Waterbury Ave & Bruckner Blvd (2009-2013). While speeding continues in this stretch, 1 pedestrian and 1 cyclist have been killed in the last 2 years.

The Department of Transportation's plan for this section of East Tremont addresses the problems of speeding by reducing the amount of travel lanes from 4 to 3, while providing space for emergency vehicles, buses and left-turning vehicles to maneuver without slowing down traffic.

The plan should stand as is, as it protects all road users
